Internet Radio Streams maintained by the
National Railway Historical Society (NRHS) - Harrisburg Chapter

The Harrisburg Chapter of the NRHS maintains two Internet radio streams covering Norfolk Southern radio traffic in the Harrisburg area and beyond. The receivers for these streams are located at high elevation, two-way radio sites. Their coverage areas are quite extensive. Because of the wide area of coverage, both streams are tuned to receive a single road channel only. They do not scan multiple channels.

The first stream is the “NS Harrisburg Terminal Dispatcher” channel. This receiver covers all of the immediate Harrisburg area as well as The Lurgan Branch from Harrisburg to the Shippensburg area. This stream is available at:

The second stream is the “NS Harrisburg East Dispatcher” channel. This is the next dispatcher territory to the east of Harrisburg. Communications are received on the Harrisburg Line from the division post with Harrisburg Terminal at BURKE interlocking in Hummelstown at milepost HP 104.7 all the way to the defect detector at milepost HP 34.5 in the Pottstown area in the east and on the Reading Line from WYOMISSING JCT. to BLANDON in the north. This stream is available at:

Both of these streams compliment our NS Harrisburg Division ATCS data feed. For either stream, click on the appropriate link above, then select the type of player you'd like to use under the "Player Selection" column. Then click the arrow under the "Listen" column." Reception reports, audio quality reports and other comments would be appreciated. Send reports to:

In addition to these two wide-area streams maintained by our group, there are radio streams maintained by others that also cover the Harrisburg area. One is the “NS Harrisburg, PA” stream hosted by Yuri Topolnicki. This stream does not cover as extensive an area. However, it does scan multiple channels including Amtrak and the various NS yard channels. This stream is available at:

Another stream is the “Lancaster County Rail” stream is hosted by Teddy G. - KA3BHQ ( and is a scanner feed covering several railroad channels southeast of Harrisburg, including the NS Port Road, the eastern end of the NS Royalton Branch and the Amtrak Keystone Line. This stream is available at:
